Dissertation Writers’ Seminar
A seminar for advanced Ph.D. students allows them to present their work in progress and to receive critical and constructive response to that work. The seminar brings together Disciples House Scholars from across Ph.D. areas of study and thus provides cross-disciplinary exchange at an advanced level. Participants present drafts of dissertation chapters and discuss them with fellow participants. In addition, they share ideas about writing strategies, conference paper proposals and presentations, and academic job search. The seminar is convened by Dean Kris Culp.
