Winged Words
Winged Words: Prayers for Common Worship and Common Life was inspired by the seventy-fifth anniversary of the Chapel of the Holy Grail. The book collects one hundred fifteen prayers from sixty-two contributors, who range from some of the first Disciples Divinity House Scholars to recent graduates, current trustees, and all seven deans. Some of the prayers were given in the Chapel of the Holy Grail; almost all of them can be understood to have been shaped by the chapel.
The collection was edited by G. Philip Points, Thomas V. Stockdale, and Sandhya R. Jha, with an introduction by Dean Kristine A. Culp. Its title comes from a prayer by Dean Edward Scribner Ames.
