Forums provide an occasion to learn from and converse with scholars of religion, community leaders, and church leaders. Faculty speakers often present work in progress, while others comment on special topics or current events in an informal setting. The House community has the opportunity to converse with them and to further understanding and constructive action.
Forums take place immediately after the weekly dinners. Recent speakers include: Vy Nguyen, Executive Director, Week of Compassion; Sarah Hammerschlag, Associate Professor of Religion, Literature, and Visual Culture at the Divinity School; Christian Wedemeyer, Associate Professor of the History of Religions and Associate Faculty in South Asian Languages and Civilizations, University of Chicago; Margaret Burk, President of Illinois Storytelling Inc.
Please see the calendar for upcoming events.
