Application
Am I eligible?
To be eligible for consideration as a Disciples Divinity House Scholar, a person must have been a participating member of a congregation of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) for at least one year.
In special circumstances, partial grants may be made to students from other churches of the Stone-Campbell tradition or from churches outside the United States and Canada with whom the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) has a historic and ongoing relationship.
How do I apply?
To be considered for admission as a Disciples Divinity House Scholar, a person must meet eligibility requirements and submit an application to the Disciples Divinity House by January 25.
DDH applicants must apply concurrently to the University of Chicago Divinity School. Application priority deadlines for the Divinity School are January 3 for all degree programs.
Applications to the Disciples Divinity House and Divinity School are two separate processes. However, they are closely coordinated. Any member of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) who is seeking admittance to the Divinity School is strongly encouraged to contact Dean Kristine A. Culp prior to the application process. An on-campus visit is normally part of the admissions decision process.
Renewal
Application for renewal must be made annually. For Scholars who demonstrate satisfactory academic and professional progress, financial aid may be renewed annually for the time normally required to obtain the degree.
Eligibility and renewal are governed by the scholarship policies of the Board of Trustees and overseen by its Scholarship Committee.
