Parag Shah has worked with DDH since 1996, first as a contract accountant and, since 2011, as a part-time financial administrator. He prepares financial statements, oversees the external audit, helps to plan capital projects, and directs accounting and facilities management. He is a Certified Public Accountant with experience in strategic planning and policy-making who knows the University of Chicago well. From 1991-2011, he was the Associate Dean of Students in the Biological Sciences Division of the University of Chicago, where he managed a $30 million student aid budget, developed innovative approaches, and streamlined processes.

A member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Illinois CPA Society, he also owns his own accounting business. He and his family live in the Chicago suburbs.
